The petition of Sarah Hudson, Cheshire, 19 April 1659

To the Right Wor[shi]pp[fu]ll the Justices of the Peace in Sessions att Middlewich Assembled the 19 day of Aprill 1659:
The Humble Petic[i]on of Sarah Hudson
Humbly Sheweth
That yo[u]r Petic[i]on[e]rs Late husband Isaake Hudson did for Many yeares faithfully serue the Parliam[en]t and was slaine in theire seruice vnder Colonell Finch in ye Late warrs in Ireland And that in his Life tymee she Quartered diuers of his Fellow souldiers. and was neuer yet Paid for it by Reason whereof and the Losse of her said Husband she was Cast into Great debt w[hi]ch she is neuer able to pay though she hath been often Arrested for the same And she still Remayns so Indebtted and is now grown old and vnable Ether to worke toward her Maintaynance or to pay the said debt or to Releeue her Child
May it Therefore please this Hon[ou]rable Bench to grant vnto yo[u]r Petic[i]on[e]r a Pension yearely toward her Releefe in her old Age
And she and her poore Child will Euer pray
