To the Right Wors[hi]p[fu]ll the Justices of Peace at the Quarter Sessions Assembled
The humble Petic[i]on of Samuell Thorpe of Capeston
<Sheweth>
That yo[u]r poore petic[i]on[e]r beeing lately Marryed vnto Anne [?Symacke] who [illegible] hath for the space of 10 yeares liued in Capestone w[i]thin this County that yo[u]r poore petic[i]on[er] eu[er] since his Marriage hath liued in Capestone, that yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r hath faythfully serued the Parliam[en]t of England & hath liued in good Credit & repute, that hee hath nothing at all [illegible] to mayntayne himselfe & wife w[i]thall but his hand labour That hee Cannot take any house or tenem[en]t vpon the racke hee being poore
May it therefore please yo[u]r Wor[sh]ips to p[er]mitt & grant an Order that yo[u]r Peti[t]ion[e]r may Erect a Cottage on the Wast ground in Capestone afores[ai]d and the rather in regard his wife is w[i]thin 8 or 10 weekes of her Labo[u]rs & haueing at pr[e]sent noe place to liue in
