The petition of Rowland Thomas of Llandwrog, Carnarvonshire, 18 April 1672

To the honorable & the right worshipfull the Justices of the peace of the County of Carnarvon sitting at the quarter sessions of the peace for the said County att Carnarvan the 18th day of Aprill 1672.
The humble petition of Rowland Thomas of Llandwrog Labourer.
<Sheweth>
That your peticoner hath faythfully served his late Majesties kinge Charles the first of ever blessed memorie being as a foote souldier vnder the Command of Captaine Pugh in the Regiment of Sir John Owen in severall partes of England for the space of 3 yeares and above & hath alwayes Continued truely Loyall to his sayd majestie & his majestie that now is & by reason of the sayd service is become indigent & poore & vnable to releiue himselfe.
May it therefore please yo[u]r honors & worshipps to allow yo[u]r peticoner a pencon with & amongst the maimed souldiers of this County & your peitconer shall euer pray &c.
Admitted this Quarter & to recieue A yearely Stipend of xx s. p[er] Cur[ia].
