The humble petic[i]on of Roger Walmsley of Fishwicke
<Sheweth>
That yo[u]r petic[i]oner beinge 57 yeares of age or thereabouts & hath beene an Inhabitant within the said Townshipp of Fishwicke For the space of Fortie sixe yeares and vpwards and brought A good portion thither but since the beginninge of the late warres, yo[u]r petic[i]oner hath beene by the Inhabitants of Fishwicke Forced forth as A souldier for divers yeares and by reason of severall wounds and hurts receaued is become lame & blynde of the one of his eyes, and age beinge now vpon him they Endeavour to banish him and his wife forth of the said Towne[shi]pp haue noe other charge wherewith to trouble them
Humblie prayeth yo[u]r order to bee directed to the Churchwardens & overseers for the poore to provide an house of habitac[i]on for him and his wife within the said Towne of Fishwicke And hee shall Endeavour to bee as litle chargeable as possible. And pray &c.
