The humble petic[i]on of Roger Walmesley of Fishwick
Humblie sheweth that yo[u]r pet[itioner] for manie years past, heretofore served vnder the command of S[i]r Thomas Tildesley deceased and in his faithfull service for the late kinge of famous memorie, did not onelie loose his eie sight of one of his eies but also by divers wounds in the same service given, hath beene A Totall ouerthrowe of your pet[itioner] and his wiffe.
Nowe Forasmuch as yo[u]r pet[itioner] is always mindful and readie to serve and hazzard himself vnd[e]r his Ma[jes]t[y]s commaund, and to performe with his conscience and best endeauours, hee humblie craveth assistance of yo[u]r Wor[shi]ppsfull to procure some maintenance for him his wiffe and familie, and herein hee shall pray for yo[u]r wo[rshi]pps longe life health and happines whilst I haue a daye to liue.
And whereas I was put forth by A commission of Array by the Towne of Fishweeke, and have neither house nor harbour but was glad to sell my wifes cloathes with my owne to relieve us.
