The petition of Roger Lee of Leftwich, Cheshire, Michaelmas 1651

To the right Honorable they [sic.] Justices of Peace for the County Palatine of the Chester the humble Petition of Roger Lee of Leftwich Taylor in the County aforesaid

Sheweth

That your poore Petitioner at the late battail of Worcester was dangerously wounded receiuing in his head head foure seuerall sections. Hee is also maymed in his hands and so disabled to support himself and foure small children & therefore is exposed to ineuitable distress and difficulties except some speedy releef may bee affo affoarded His palbe palpable wounds are sufficient to demonstrate the equity of his cause.

May it therefore please your Honors to admitt your poore Petitioner into the number of they [sic.] Pensioners of this County as also to allow such aduance as other soldiers haue who [illegible] haue bin ingaged in the same seruice and [?manner] you would ingage your Poore and wounded Petitioner in all humility to pray &c
