The petition of Robert Wilson and Gregory Middleton of Doncaster, West Riding of Yorkshire, March 1668

To the Right Hono[ra]ble the Justices of the Peace for the West rideing of the County of Yorke.

The humble Petic[i]on of Rob[er]t Wilson Gregory Middleton & Richard Foster.

Sheweth

That yo[u]r Petic[i]on[e]rs being poore men & inhabitants in Doncast[e]r, & p[er]sons who were heretofore by yo[u]r wor[shi]pps Admitted as maimed Souldiers have beene now (as they did att the Last Quarter Sessions held att Barnsley) att the Treasurer to Receive their Quarterly penc[i]ons, which he denies to pay them the same or any p[ar]t thereof.

Yo[u]r peticon[e]rs most humble Request is therefore that yo[u]r Hono[u]rs would be pleased to direct the Treasurer to pay to yo[u]r said Peticon[e]rs the said Two Quarterly paym[en]ts which Remaines vnpaid.

And yo[u]r Peticon[e]rs shall ever pray, &c.
