The petition of Robert White, John Lambert’s Regiment, 1 June 1648

To the hono[oura]ble Com[m]ittee for the Army.
The humble petic[i]on of Robert White
{Illegible} fully served ye State as a foote souldier vnder
{illegible} ey in the regim[en]t of Colonell Lambert, for w[hi]ch
{illegible} nd to him
{illegible} Castle yo[u]r pet[itione]r rec[eive]d a dangerous wound in his
{illegible} duty nere three quarters of a yeare hath
{illegible} Savoy hospitall
{illegible} yo[u]r pet[itione]r is disabled for future service, hee
{illegible} his lymbe, And for that he is at pr[e]sent much
{illegible} want of maintenance.
Hee therefore humbly prayes this hono[ura]ble Com[mi]ttee to bee pleased to take his sadd Condic[i]on into yo[u]r charitable considerac[i]on, and to order him paym[en]t of his Arreares or such part thereof for his releife As to yo[u]r hono[u]rs wisdomes shal be thought most fitt.
And hee will pray &c.

This Souldier Robert Whitte is vnder Ceur in the Savoy Hospitall for woundes he receued in the Seruis of the parlament wherby he is mayned & vnabell For Further Seruis: George Dunn Surgeon

<That ye Commissary Generall of ye Musters or their Deputy doe forthwith certify to this Com[m]ittee how ye pet[itione]r stands vpon the seu[er]all Musters of ye Army & doe affix the same to the petic[i]on.>
