The petition of Robert Parry of Llanraeadr, Denbighshire, 15 January 1667

To the Right w[orshipfu]ll the Justices of the peace for the County of Denbigh sitting at this pr[e]sent Quarter Sessions.

The Humble petic[i]on of Rob[er]t Parry of Llanrhaid[e]r.

Sheweth vnto yo[u]r worships, That since his ma[jes]ties most gratious & happie restaurac[i]on vpon a Certificate from yo[u]r peetic[i]on[er]s officers, assureing yo[u]r wor[shi]pps of his constancy & fidelity in his late ma[jes]ties service of eu[er] blessed memory And that it did Likewise evidently appeare vnto yo[u]r wor[shi]pps That yo[u]r petic[i]on[er] had lost the vse of one of his hands in his said ma[jes]ties service, vnder the Comaund of S[i]r Thomas Salusbury Barr[one]tt, yo[u]r wor[shi]pps were then pleased to admitt yo[u]r petic[i]on[er] one of the pension[er]s of the maymed souldiers mize & accordingly receaved his penc[i]on, vntill about foure yeares agoe he went to Ireland for his further releefe and obtayned a meane [illegible] imployment there to keepe himselfe from being over burthensome to his Countrey or freinds, which is the onely cause, & by reason of the death of the p[er]son he intended to call for his penc[i]on, That he is eu[er] since kept w[i]thout it.

May it therefore please yo[u]r wor[shi]pps in most tender considerac[i]on that this pension is yo[u]r petic[i]on[er]s cheefest mayneteynence, & last releefe & To graunt him yo[u]r continuance of it, And that his arreares may be payd him

And yo[u]r petic[i]on[er] will eu[er] pray &c

Order[e]d that Rob[er]t Parry the petic[i]on[er] doe hereafter receave his former penc[i]on of 5 shillings q[uar]terly
