The humble petic[i]ons of Rob[er]te Baccus of Sowerby I{…} Southworth of Tarniker Thomas Jaynson of Rawcliffe {John} Miller of Elswicke & Willi[ia]m Shorrocke of ye same
<Humbly> Sheweth vnto yo[u]r good worships that yo[u]r poore pe{titioners} being maiymed & indigent Souldiers have hereftofore had yo[u]r worships ord[e]r for ye paym[en]te of theire seu[er]all pensions of money towards the{ir} manteyneing them dureing theire seu[er]all lives and that {the} same shold be payd by the treasurer for ye maimed souldiers But John Browne who is ye Collector of ye moneys due vnto ye Souldiers doth refuse to pay ye same vnto them acc{ording} {illegible} as is seu[er]ally allowed by yo[u]r worshi{ps} former order & yt yo[u]r poore pet[itione]rs & many other indigent Souldiers are like to perish & suffer extremety vnlesse releeved by yo[u]r good worships,
Therefore humbly prayes yo[u]r good worships to take yo[u]r pet[itione]rs condic[i]ons into consid[er]ac[i]on & yt ye s[ai]d Browne or an{y} other who ought to pay ye same may {be} compelled to distribute to {illegible} e seu[e]rall {pen}sions as {illegible} worships {illegible}
