The petition of Robert Addams of Wybunbury, Cheshire, Epiphany 1652

To the {illegible} the Deputie=Liuetannants Justices of the peace and Gent[lemen] att the present Assessions [sic.]: the Humble peticion of Robert Addams of Wibunbury.
Sheweth yt your pet[itioner] haueing allready made it Appeare (vnto Mr Tho[mas] Manwering Esq[ui]r[e] Justice of the peace) by Certificate vnder the hands of the Minister and Churchwardens hand and diuers other Inhabitants of the saide towne: that your pet[itioner], in the seruice at Worcester Receiued A Shott in the Foote: Wherby he is disabled to Worke for his liueing as formerly, and that his father, from whom he should receiue Maintenance is A very Aged poore man & now not scarce at all able to Follow his occupation of a Carpenter: Which your pet[itioner] was allsoe but in lerneing: And much feareth now shall not be able to follow: haueing noe other Mayntenance and liuelyhood to subsist on
Most humbly prayeth your Worsh[ips] will be pleased to Addmitt him to Receiue some Considerable yearely pension towards his mayntenance: And yo[u]r pet[itioner] will as in duty will euer pray &c
