The petition of Richard Vaughan of Llanrwst, Denbighshire, 30 December 1679

I vnderstand by my Cosin Anwyll that I am put out of my Pencion in Denbysheare the last Micha[elma]s Quarter Sessions and as he suposeth because the last Aact [sic.] in [16]62 determined the first sessions of the next ensuinge Parliam[en]t, S[i]r you may be pleased to remember that by yo[u]r favior and kindnes I was put in Pencion in the yeare 1660 in Hillery Q[uarte]r by vertue of the Act of 43d of Queene Eliz[abeth] and I humbly conceave that this last Act was but a revivall of the other w[hi]ch I hope standeth still in full force, If you and the rest of my good frinds doe still continew yo[u]r former favior and kindnesses to me in keepeinge me in, for I doe assure you that wee have receaved noe money heare from the Kings Excheq[uer] since the beginninge of the troubles of the late Lord Treas[ure]r who paid vs very punctually dureinge his tyme (w[hi]ch maketh our condic[i]on heare very indigent) soe not doubtinge of yo[u]r favior in this my humble request w[i]th my faithfull service to yo[u]r selfe and all the rest of my frinds in gen[er]all and begginge yo[u]r pardon for this my bouldnes. I shall euer remaine.
