The most humble petition of Richard Splat of St Thomas Th’apostle

Humbley sheweth

That he is A poore man having bin A Long time in ye Service of King Charles the first, in w[hi]ch seruice he rec[eive]d Seuerall hurtes in his body of w[hic]h ye markes are now Euident, and the same is Attested by ye Oathes of Hester Roberts and William Mills. And being now growne Auncient these Auncient Hurtes doe so debillitate him as that he is not able to follow his Imploym[en]t wherefore he humbley beggs & beseeches yo[u]r wor[shipp] to Commisserate his Condition & to grant that he may haue A pension to Support him in his Age & missery And yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps most humble petitioner

Shall euer pray for yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps Constant health & happeynesse

May the first [16]79.

This poore petition[e]r deserues yo[u]r Favour having been wounded in the Late Kinges service
