The humble petic[i]on of Richard Sleyght

Sheweth

That yo[u]r petico[i]n[e]r hath serued in the Parliam[en]ts Seruice dureing the greatest p[ar]te of these warres and lastely und[e]r Major Bethell [of] Leivetenant gen[e]rall Cromwells Regim[en]t where y[ou]r petic[i]on[ie]r received divers wounds whereby yo[u]r Petitio[ne]r [?received] is disabled to gett his liveing

May it please yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps to allow yo[u]r petition[ne]r a Penc[i]on towards his Subistence out of the Treasury for Maymed Sould[ie]rs. And yo[u]r Petitio[ne]r shall eu[e]r pray &c.

To be allowed a penc[i]on of 40 s. p[er] ann[um] to be q[ua]rt[e]r[ly] in course.
