To the Right Worshipp[fu]ll the Justices of the peace and quorum at the gen[er]all quarter sessions houlden at Preston the 10 Apprill instant

The humble petic[i]on of Richard Ridley of Preston in Amoundernes in the County of Lancaster.
Sheweth

That your petic[i]oner is A poore blynd Aged man and Lost his eye sight in the late kinge and Parliame[en]ts service and hath noe thinge in the world whereby to subsist for his manteynence.

Therefore hee humbly disires yo[u]r worshipps will bee pleased vpon considerac[i]on hereof to grant yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner some releife whereby hee may bee able to Subsist and yo[u]r petic[i]oner as howeuer in duty bound will euer pray &c
