The humble petic[i]on of Richard Purslake of Netherex[e]

<Sheweth>

That yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r being vnd[e]r ye Command of ye right honno[u]r[a]ble S[i]r John Berkley Was drawne against Lyme where hee receiued a wound w[hi]ch put him to soe much misery and torment as that hee was thereby vtterly disinabled to labour for his maintainance, and haueing now spent all that euer hee was worth (neuer haueing any releif since hee was wounded as aforesaid) yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r is noe longer able to subsist, but is in a miserable and sad condic[i]on and likely to perish for want

Yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]rs most humble request therefore is that you would please to take his lamentable condic[i]on into yo[u]r consid[e]ration, and in mercy to order him some releife

And yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r as in dutie bound shall pray &c.
