To ye Wor[shi]p[fu]ll his Ma[jes]t[y]s Justices of ye Peace for ye County of Worc[este]r

The humble petic[i]on of Richard Powell a poore and indigent soldier

Humbly sheweth

That yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner haveing beene formerly a soldier vnder o[u]r Late Sovereigne of ever blessed memory and for his Ma[jes]ty that now is from ye beginning of ye late vnhappy warres vnto ye surrender of Worc[este]r in w[hi]ch said service hee spent his Estate and all hee had and receaved many hurtes by w[hi]ch hee receaved hee is dissabled to get a Livlyehood haveing fower small Children to manteyn.

His humble petic[i]on is yow will please to Examine his Condic[i]on and allow him some thing by way of penc[i]on admitt him a penconer in the place of W[illia]m Kilshawe lately deceased

I knowe the petic[i]on[er] to haue bene a loyall Souldier for his Ma[jes]ty
