To the Right Hon[ou]r[a]ble his Ma[jes]ties Justices assembled att the gen[er]all quarter Sessions held att the Castle of Exon the humble p[e]t[ic]ion off Richard Norman of the p[ar]ish of Ottery St Mary Humbly
Sheweth
Whereas Richard Norman of Ottery St Mary in the County of Deauon husbandman haue been in the last warrs under S[i]r Hugh Windom in the Old Kings service and there vpon hurted & receiued many wounds by which hee is disabled to gett his maintainance Therefore your humble peti[ci]oner desireth that your Honour would take it in Consideration that your humble peti[ci]oner might bee helped in his great extrimity for he hath sold & pauned all that he hath to keep himselfe from perishing soe that he hath not any thing left to maintaine himselfe any Longer Therefore your humble peti[ci]oner should Intreat your honour to Consider of his Condition that he may be subsisted under his great extrimity, And in soe doeing your humble peti[ci]oner shall pray &c
