The humble pet[itio]n of Richard Jones

Sheweth

That yo[u]r pet[itione]r was listed a souldier in this County vnd to serve his late Ma[jes]ty in the late vnhappy warres vnder the Comaund of S[i]r John Owen in Captayne Francis Griffiths company and in Newbury battayle receiued seu[er]all wounds & was shott & lost the vse of his right hand & yo[u]r pet[itioner] was heretofore admitted to be one of the penc[i]on[er]s of the maymed souldiers mize in this County.

Wherefore yo[u]r pet[itioner] humbly prayeth That he may be continued & haue a stipend settled vpon him by yo[u]r wo[shi]ps And yo[u]r pet[itione]r will eu[er] eu[er] [sic.] pray &c
