The humble Petic[i]on of Richard Hill of Church Minshull
<Humbly Sheweth>
That whereas yo[u]r petic[i]oner haveing been A Souldyer in his late Ma[jes]tyes warrs vnder the Com[m]and of Captaine [?Ilerton] who was at seu[er]all engagem[en]ts (to witt) at Nazeby Branford & other places whereby hee was exposed to great losse & much hardship And being now of a meane & Low Estate & knowing that one Robert Jackson A penc[i]oner is lately dead
May it therefore please yo[u]r wor[shi]pps to take his Condic[i]on into yo[u]r Considerac[i]ons & to Admitt yo[u]r said petic[i]oner to become A penc[i]oner in the room and to grant him the Penc[i]on form[er]ly payable to the s[ai]d Robert Jackson And hee as in duty bound will eu[er] pray &c
Wee whose Names are subscribed doe know most of the Contents of this petic[i]on to bee true & doe Conceive the petic[i]on[e]r a fitt person to bee Admitted A penc[i]on[er]
