The petition of Richard Harrison of Greasby, Cheshire, Epiphany 1657

To the Worship[fu]ll the Justices of the peace of this pr[e]sent Quart[e]r Sessions.

The humble petic[i]on of Richard Harrison son of John Harrison of Gresby in Wyrrall in the County of Chester

<Sheweth>

That yo[u]r Petic[i]on[e]r being a Souldier vnder the Comaund of Capt[ain] Sadler in the late warres for the parliam[en]t was in the said service at Holt Castle wounded as may appeare by a certificate herevnto annexed [illegible] in his right arme soe that hee is disabled to worke for his liveing and subsistance, and that since the said warres yo[u]r pet[itione]r hath lived with one Mr Bennett as a serv[an]t receiveing small wages haveing most of his mayntenance from his father who is now growne very ancient soe that hee hath lost his eye sight and not able any longer to be helpfull to yo[u]r pet[itione]r

The premisses considered may it please yo[u]r Wor[shi]ps that yo[u]r pet[itione]r may be received into the number of them that receive an allowance as maymed souldiers, and have some competent yearely [illegible] pension, the rather for that yo[u]r pet[itione]r hath as long as hee could possibly, avoided to be troublesome or burdensome to his Countrey and he shall pray &c
