The petition of Richard Dawson, Sir Hardress Waller’s Regiment, 6 June 1648

To the Honerable the Committee of the Armie setting at Westminster.
The Humble petition of Robert Richard Dawson A wounded siouldyer lying in the Sauoy Hospittall.
Your poore petitioner wentt out a footte siouldyer in the Regimentt of S[i]r Hardris Waller of his owne Companie vnder Capt[ain] Leften[ant] Willson euer sence the reducmentt & by reasson of heattes & colds grew into great disseases of body being full of vlcers to his extreem missery
Your petitioner for the said service hauing Arreares due vnto him the inioymentt of itt would be a Comfortt vnto him in his poore & wounded condition
May itt theirfore please this Honerable Committee to grant him a warrant that his Accountts may bee statted wherby hee may bee in a Capacity for the receuing of his sayd Arreares, for the w[hi]ch he hath not been necligent to his power to doe constant service for
& he as bound shall pray

This petecioner being vnder Ceur of the sayd Hospitall is a maymed man & disabled for the Servis as a souldier
