To the Wor[shi]p[fu]ll the Justices of the peace of this County assembled at the pr[e]sent Sessions at Northwich

The humble petic[i]on of Richard Amory and Richard Wilkinson

Humbly sheweth vnto yo[u]r Worshipps that your petic[i]oners haue beene for a longe tyme souldyers in the p[ar]liament service and adventured their liues therin in many places both in this and other Counties and yett it pleased god euer to pr[e]serve them But goeinge out vpon the late desigine [sic] agaynst the Scotts at Worcester it was their fortune both of them to receaue such shotts that they are maymed and spoyled and not able to gett their livings for the future And your petic[i]on[e]rs beinge poore men and havinge noe meanes are like to live in a verry sad Condic[i]on heareafter if your worshipps bee nott good vnto them

Yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]rs therfore humbly pray that you will bee please to Commisserate this their sad and lamentable Condic[i]on And to admitt them such to bee penc[i]on[e]rs and to allow them soe much annually for their menteynance as yow shall thinke fitt and yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]rs will euer pray for yo[u]r worshipps health & happines
