To the Right Worshippfull the Justices of the peace att theyr gen[er]all Quarter Sessions of the peace now holden att Marlebrough for the County of Wiltes[hire]

The humble Petic[i]on of Rice Aprice of Stowell Laborer

Sheweth

That yo[u]r Pet[itio]ner was a soldier in the service of his late Ma[jes]tie vnder the Comaund of Col[one]l Banfeild And alsoe vnder the Comaund of Capt[ain] Rob[er]t Hawley in the Regim[en]t [illegible] of the Lord Hawly (as by Certificate herevnto annexed appeareth) and was therein wounded And hath ever since continued faithfull & Loyall to his Ma[jes]tie And is now very aged indigent and in a necessitous Condic[i]on

Humbly prayeth that yo[u]r Worshipps wil be pleased to give order for some penc[i]on to be afforded towards his mayntenince in this his aged and decrepped Condic[i]on And yo[u]r pet[itio]ner shall dayly pray &c
