The humble petic[i]on of Randull Whittakers
<Sheweth.>
That yo[u]r petic[i]oner beinge a Seirgant [sic.] of a foote Company in his late Maiestyes leiffe Guard vnder the Comand of Captayne Richard Walthall from the battell at Edgehill tilll the fight at Stow the ould, he beinge Shott and maymed in the seruice haueinge a Charge of Tenne Children, whereby yo[u]r petic[i]oner hath endured very much hardshippe for many yeares.
The pr[e]misses Considered May it please yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps that yo[u]r petic[i]onpe]r may haue some part of Arreares as shall seeme best in yo[u]r wor[shi]pps wisdome, he beinge in a discapacity to helpe himselfe or family And yo[u]r petic[i]oner shall be euer bound to pray.
