To the ho[noura]ble the Justices of the Peace att the pr[e]sent Sessions houlden att Knutsford the 20th of October 1657
The humble petic[i]on of Randle Cartwright of Stopford
Sheweth that yo[u]r petic[i]on[er] served in the Late warrs vnder the Com[m]and of the Parliam[en]t and was shott and wounded in the said service and there by made vncapable of followinge his trade or any other imploym[en]t to mainteyne himselfe his wife and Fiue small Childerin That yo[u]r petic[i]oner obteyned an order att a monethes meetinge att Presbury in the yeare of our Lord 1650 for his releife as may appeare by the said order but of Late hee the said petic[i]on[er] hath receiu[ed] noe Rileife from the tresurer of the hundred of Manchester Countie and is in great destresse and wants the pr[e]misses Considered
May It please yo[u]r ho[nou]rs to grant yo[u]r petic[i]on[er] such allowance from the Treasurer as in yo[u]r Judgm[en]ts shall seeme meete (his Condic[i]on well Considered) and hee will eu[er] pray &c.
