In all: Humilitie

Sheweth

That your pet[itione]r Hath as became a loyall & Fath Full subiect serued a soldi[e]r in your Ma[jes]t[y’]s Army was not only taken prison[e]r in Scotland & at wigin Fight but seuerall times wounded & imprisoned & so hath Continued a suferer to this day.

That haueinge a wife & Family in Sunderland your pet[itione]r beinge desierus to repare to and Continue w[i]th them but by reason off ye pr[e]mises beinge distroyed in His Fortunes & out off a way to giue a Comfortable subsistance to them vnles your Sacred Ma[jes]tie be graciously pleased to Haue him in Considerac[i]on,

Most Humbly thearffor your pet[itione]r beseecheth your Majistie to bestow on him a wateres place in the Coustomes at Svnderland or such other imploym[en]t As in great wisdoum & Clemency shall seme meete.

And yo[u]r pet[itione]r as in duty bound shall euer pray.
