The humble petic[i]on of Peter Werden of Penwortham
Sheweth
That yo[u]r petic[i]oner hath faithfully served his late Ma[jes]tie King Charles the first & his Ma[jes]tie that now is in the late vnhappy Warrs & therein rec[eive]d many wounds As alsoe sustained great losses & very much [illegible] impoverished Thef Therefore yo[u]r petic[i]oner humbly prays yo[u]r wor[shi]pps to allow him such yearely penc[i]on as in yo[u]r discrec[i]on you shall thinke fitt to compensate his faithfull service and yo[u]r petic[i]oner will ever pray &c.
