The petition of Pell Moores of Sale, Cheshire, Trinity 1646

The humble Petic[i]on of Pell Moores
Sheweing That the pet[itione]r was borne in Sale & during theis troublesome tymes hath served as a souldier in [illegible] the ho[noura]ble S[i]r Will[ia]m Breretons Regym[en]t vnd[e]r Livetenante Collonell Cooke as a sergeant of a Company, but never received more pay then viii s. for xxii weekes service. As alsoe he served a yeare & a halfe vnd[e]r Collonell John Boothe And being charged with a wife & one childe his fath[e]r having given vnto the pet[itione]r one Acre of lande p[ar]cell of his Tenem[en]t to erecte a Cottage vpon for him & his wife to live in, If he may obtayne an Ord[e]r from this Benche for the same.
May it please yo[u]r wor[shi]ps to graunte the pet[itione]r an ord[e]r where by to authorize the peti[tione]r to erecte a Cottage vpon the said Acre of lande for him & his wife to live in And the pet[itione]r will pray for you.
