The petition of Oliver Moris ap Hugh of Banhadla, Denbighshire, 7 October 1673

<Denbigh s[ession]s.>
To ye right wor[shi]p[fu]ll the Justices of the peace for the said County.
Oliver Moris ap Hugh of Banhadla in ye Said County humbly Sheweth. That for his fidelity in his late Ma[jes]ties unhappy warre was admitted to receive Pension amongst ye maymed Souldiers of this County but by Some bare allegac[i]ons obiected against him he was Crossed out ye last Cession. Wee whose names are hereunder written being neighb[ou]res to this petic[i]on[e]r understand you are acquainted w[i]th his deserts by form[e]r Certificates and bearing the marke of a faithfull Souldier. Wee doe further Certify in reference to his estate that he hath not as much as one head of Cattle in ye wordle [sic.] he labours what he Can for his Liveing but is not able by reason of his form[e]r sore wounds and imprisonm[en]t to subsist a Quarter in ye whole year.
Therefore ye pr[e]misses considered this poor Souldier beseecheth yo[u]r wor[shi]pps for gods Love to grante him his form[e]r relieffe and what else you shall thinke fit and he will dayly pray as by duty bound &c
