The petition of Nathaniel Hone of Marlborough, Wiltshire, 1 October 1661

{To} the Right Wor[shi]pf[u]ll ye Justices Now assembled at ye Generall Quarter sessions of the Peace holden for the County of Wilts[hire] at Marlbrough the first day of Octob[e]r 1661
The Humble Petition of Nathaniell Hone of Marlbrough in this County.
Humbly Sheweth:
That yo[u]r Pet[itione]r haueing Receiued many wounds in the late vnhappy warres to the much disabling of him in his Calling to worke for his living, Yo[u]r Worsh[i]ps were pleased at Xmas sessions last to allow him Forty shillings for his present necessity and relieffe. Now for that yo[u]r Pet[itione]r is in low Condition
Doth humbly implore yo[u]r Wor[shi]ps to allowe yo[u]r Pet[itione]r a penc[i]on to bee paid him out of the Tre[asu]ry, that so yo[u]r Pet[itione]r may bee speedily supplied
And yo[u]r Pet[itione]r shall dayly pray
He was in ye Parliam[en]t service.
