The humble Petic[i]on of Nathan Massey

 

Sheweth that yo[u]r petic[i]oner beinge a Maimemed souldier and as it is well knowne to yo[u]r wor[shi]ps haueinge longe petic[i]on[e]d the honor[a]ble bench for releife and Maintenance yo[u]r Wor[shi]ps in Compassion of yo[u]r petic[i]oner weere pleased to grant releefe and intrusted Mr Mowland w[i]th the busines who carelesly lost the certificate whereby yo[u]r etic[i]oner was forced to goe to London to Judge Warburton that the truth might appeare soe that yo[u]r petic[i]oner is much damnified in regard there is three yeares past in Arreare. Therefore yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner humbly intreats yo[u]r yo[u]r [sic.] wor[shi]ps that hee may haue satisfaction for his Arrears and likewise intreats yo[u]r wor[shi]ps to Augment yo[u]r Charity & hee will daylay pray for yo[u]r health and happines.
