To the Right Worshipfull his ma[jes]ties Justices of the Peace sitting at the generall quarter Sessions of the Peace of the County afores[ai]d now held at Marlebrow
The humble Petition of Michaell Coock of Great Bedwin in the County afores[ai]d Sawyer
<Humbly> Sheweth yt your poore petitener was a souldier in the kings Army of ever blessed memory in the late vnhappie Warrs vnder the Command of Captaine Curre in his Troope of horse in the Regiment of Collonell Mannings and vnder the Command of Captaine John Hall in the Regiment of Charles Fincher Collonell And your poore petitioner behaued himselfe very manfully honestly & faithfully in the said service your poore petitioner hath been ready to act vpon all occasions for the Interest of his ma[jes]tie that now is: And that by reason of the said service your poore peititoner Receiued seuerall wounds & thereby is vnabled to get a liuelyhood for himselfe & family as by a certificate herevnder annexed appeareth
Wherefore your poore petitioner desireth your Wor[shi]pps to take his Case into your Considerac[i]on and to grant vnto him a yearely Pension out of the stock of this County for hee & familys better subsistance and hee shall ever pray
That wee know this petic[i]on[e]r and that the matters & things contayned in this petition are reall & trew In witnesse whereof we haue set o[u]r hands
