The petition of Michael Davies of Wrexham, Denbighshire, 11 July 1681

The Humble petition of Michael Dauies of Wrexham in the County of Denbigh Labourer
Humbly sheweth yo[u]r Worships
That yo[u]r petic[i]on[er] being aged 66 yeares or there about, Hath serued his ma[jes]ties the Last warrs in England, where he recieued seuerall wounds and was releifed by his ma[jes]t[y]s Justices of the peace of the said County quarterly by the sume of 5 s. pention as a maymed souldier, & now this fiue quarters sixe quarters Last past hath not receiued any p[ar]te of the said fiue shillings quarterley & hath Laboured to get an honest liuelyhood, whiles he was Able, and now is at this present blind & is not able to haue any subsistance, desire your worships to take it into tender Considerac[i]on and will ever pray.

The pet[itione]r is blind and vnable to gett his living, he had a pension heretofore, and I think ought to be continued
