The humble pettic[i]on of Mathew Roberts of Denbigh taylor

Sheweth That yo[u]r [petitioner] At the first Riseing of the Rebells in this Kingdome ag[ains]t his late Ma[jes]tie of famous memory did voluntary retaine himselfe a privat souldier vnder the Comand of Maior John Doubben of Segroyte Esq[ui]r[e] & Continued there vnder the Regement of Collonol Wynne & yo[u]r pettissioner had seu[er]all wounds therein.

Yo[u]r poore pett[itione]r most humbly prayes your good wor[shi]pps to Comisserat his Condic[i]on & to graunt vnto him w[ha]t yeerey penc[i]on yo[u]r wor[shi]pps shall thinke meete of the maymed soulders towards his Reliefe & yo[u]r pett[ition]er shall euer pray &c.
