To the Right wor[shipfu]ll the Justices of the peace for the County of Stafford

The humble petic[i]on of Mary Riton widd[ow]

<Sheweth> that yo[u]r poore petic[io]n[e]r hade her husband killed in the Parliam[e]nt servise vnder the Com[m]aunde of Coll[onel] Edward Ashenhurst & shee like to be in great wante & necessity excepted shee be by yo[u]r worshipps be pleased to releive her.

Therefore yo[u]r poore peti[tio]ners desire is that yo[u]r worshipes wil be pleased shee may be continued a pen[sio]n[e]r still in regard her necessitie is very great and yo[u]r poore peti[o]n[e]r will dayly pray
