The petition of Mary Hinchlife, Derbyshire, 17 August 1648

To the Ho[noura]ble Com[mi]ttee for the County of Derb[y]:

The humble Petic[i]on of Mary Hinchlife late wife of of [sic.] John Hinchliffe a sould[ie]r vnder Capt[ain] Greenwood, & slayne in the fight at Willoughby

Shewinge

Yo[u]r Petic[i]oner hath two small children, & in great want in this hard tyme

Yo[u]r Petic[i]oner therefore humbly prays that yow will please to make her give her some allowance for her mayntenaunce

And she shall pray &c

17th August 1648

It is ordered vpon this Com Petic[i]on that the Treasurer pay the said Petic[i]oner the sum[m]e of twenty Thirty shillings
