The Humble Petition of Mary Greeves Sarah Standley & Shusana [sic.] Shere of Macclesfield in the Com[itatus] p[rae]d[icti] Widdowes

<Humbly> Sheweth that your Petitioners are very Poore widdowes and weere Admited Pentioners by the wor[shipfu]ll Bench above twelfe monthes since and Rec[eived] halfe a quarteres pay which was 5 s. of S[i]r John Ardernes Clarke and for twelfe mounthes last past have Rec[eived] onely i s. a peece which hath scarcely Sattisfied the sixt parte of the paines that wee have taken in goeinge to Mr Beskwick aboute it he hath, defered & put vp of with faire promisis soe often and noe performence.

Yo[u]r poore Petitioners Humbly pray that your Worshipes will be pleased to order Mr Bestwick to pay vs our Areareages and where we may be bertter [sic.] paud for ye time to come.

And your Poore Petitioners shall Ever pray &c
