To the ho[noura]ble the Com[m]ittee for Grievances
The humble petic[i]on of Mary Burton ye Relict of John Burton, Maior generall of North Wales vnder S[i]r Thomas Middleton.
Sheweth.
That yo[u]r pet[itione]rs husband was slaine in the Fight at Mountgomery Castle, As by Certificate vnder ye said S[i]r Tho[mas] Middletons hands will appeare.
That there are divers sum[m]es of money in Arreare to yo[u]r pet[itione]rs husband for pay for his service, besides hee disbursed neere 300 li. for ye said S[i]r Thomas for ye raising of the Troupe.
That her said husbands horses, Armes, & Cloaths (since his death) to the value of 106 li. were sould, Contrary to ye Ordinance of Parliam[en]t & the late lo[rd] Generalls Articles in that Case provided, whereof yo[u]r pet[itione]r received not one penny satisfacc[i]on.
Her humble suite to this Ho[noura]ble Com[mit]tee is, That you would be pleased to grant her an Order to ye Auditor that her Accompts may be cast vp.
And yo[u]r pet[itione]r shall ever pray &c
