The petition of Marie Parker of Chaigley, Lancashire, Michaelmas 1647

To the right woor[shi]p[fu]ll his Ma[jes]ties Justices of peace att the Sessions houlden att Preston
The humble petic[i]on of Marie Parker of Cheigeley.
Shewing that wheras yo[u]r pet[itione]r being married to one Rob[er]t Parker a souldier in theis times of warr And beeing dep[ar]ted from hir hath lefte Christopher Parker ane Infant, And for that yo[u]r pet[itione]r is vnable to releife and keepe the said Infant from the charge of the Parishe of Mytton where hee was borne.
Yo[u]r pet[itione]r therfore most humbly prayeth yo[u]r woor[shi]ps order for the pr[e]sent and speedy releife of the said Infant beeing of the age of one yeare and six monthes and nott able to begg for its liveing in the said Parish or elswhere
And yo[u]r pet[itione]r will (as neu[er]theles in dutie bound) daily pray for yo[u]r woor[shi]ps.
