To the Right Wor[shipfu]ll his Ma[jes]ties Justices of the peace at the quart[e]r Sessions held at Northw[i]ch

The humble petic[i]on of Margerett Povall late wife vnto John Povall Widd[ow]

<Humply> [sic.] Sheweth that whereas yo[u]r poore pet[itione]r haueinge her selfe and 3 Children to maintaine, And haueing a great losse of her husband who was formerly for many yeares togeather in the late Kings service (of blessed memory) And in the late riseinge in this Countie was a Soldier vnder the Comand of the right Wor[shipfu]ll S[i]r Philip Egerton k[nigh]t were hee lost his life to the vtter vndowing of yo[u]r poore pet[itione]r and her Children.

The pr[e]misses Considered yo[u]r poore pet[itione]r humbly [?prayeth] that shee may bee admitted a penc[i]oner or otherwaies to haue some releefe in this deplorable and nessessitous Condic[i]on as in yo[u]r wor[shi]ps wisdome shall thinke most meete and yo[u]r poore pet[itione]r and her Children as in duty bound shall eu[er] pray &c.
