To the Right Worshippfull his Ma[jes]ties Justices of Peace and Quorum at the Sessions holden at Preston

The humble Petic[i]on of Margarett late wife of Christoph[e]r Kilshawe of Preston dec[ease]d

Sheweth That her late husband in his life tyme was a Souldier in the service of his late Ma[jes]tie of blessed memory for which dureinge the times of vsurpac[i]on hee suffered much losse and damage as was made appeare aft[e]r the Restorac[i]on of this Kinge wherevpon it pleased the Justices of Peace then in power to give him his p[ro]porc[i]onable alloweance amongst such Soldiers as had suffered with him which hee rec[eive]d till the time of his death beinge about March last since which time yo[u]r poore Petic[i]on[e]r hath beene Rendred vncapable of any way of gettinge towards her maintenance and Reileife And therefore humbly Prayes yo[u]r Worshipps to grant her an ord[e]r whereby shee may receive sh such allowance as her husband in his life tyme had and as oth[e]r widdowes in her condic[i]on nowe have and yo[u]r poore petic[i]on[e]r will every pray for yo[u]r Worshipps health and happines.
