The humble petic[i]on of Margaret Hodgson widdow & relict of Thomas Hodgson of Ingleton dec[ease]d.
Sheweth
That whereas yo[u]r pet[itione]rs late husband vpon A full sense of his loyalty and merits in the late vp vnhappy warrs had the last yeare five pounds allowed to him as A lame soldier w[hi]ch sum[m]e was ordered to bee paid to him dureing his life yearely And yo[u]r pet[itione]rs late husband lately dyed leaveing yo[u]r poore pet[itione]r destitute of any mentainance at all and charg’d w[i]th seu[er]all small Children in number nyne soe yt she is likely to fall into great want & misery vnles shee bee releeved by yo[u]r good wor[shi]pps
The pr[e]misses consid[e]red May it please yo[u]r good wo[rshi]pps to give ord[e]r for the continuance of the s[ai]d yearely sum[m]e to yo[u]r poore pet[itione]r or some other gratuity And yo[u]r pet[itione]r as bound in duty shall eu[er] pray &c
The t[reasure]r is desired to pay ye pett[itioner] a quart[e]rs penson now.
