To the Hono[ura]ble his Ma[jes]ties Justices of Peace for this County at their Gen[er]all Quart[e]r Sessions of the Peace Assembled
The Humble Petic[i]on of Seu[er]all of the Penc[i]oners in this County
Humbly Sheweth,
That wee haue w[i]th Faithfulnes and Loyalty Serued his late Ma[jes]tie King Charles the First of Blessed Memory in the late Warrs, wherein many of vs receiued seu[er]all greate wounds, as by o[u]r Testimonialls doth and may appeare, And now all of vs are become Aged and Some of vs impotent, and vnable to gett a liuelyhood to Support vs, Doe therefore Humbly beseech yo[u]r Hono[u]rs to Consider o[u]r Condic[i]ons and Continue o[u]r respective Penc[i]ons to vs, as form[er]ly you haue, And wee shall as o[u]r bounden Duty is, Ever pray for yo[u]r Hono[u]rs p[ro]sperity.
