The humble Petic[i]on of Laurence Meas of Macclesfeild

To the hono[ura]ble his Ma[jes]t[y’]s Justices of Peace and Quor[um] for the County of Chester

Humbly sheweth

That yo[u]r petic[i]o[ne]r hath been a faithfull subject vnto his Ma[jes]t[y’]s late gratious father o[u]r dread sou[er]aigne of Blessed memory and to his Ma[jes]tie that now is all the tyme of his lyfe and faithfully served his late Ma[jes]tie in the late warrs vnd[e]r the Comand of Col[onel] S[i]r Edward Fitton a private foote souldier and by the recoyle of his Muskett had his shoulder soe shattered that hee hath lost the vse of his Arme soe as hee is disabled to worke for his liveing and hath noe meanes to releife himselfe.

All w[hi]ch hee referrs to yo[u]r honno[u]rs charitable Considerac[i]ons and humbly begs for the Lords sake to bee admitted a Pension[e]r being a Mayhemed souldier And hee as in duty bound will pray &c
