To the worshipfull gent[lemen] att the Sessions of peace to be holden at manchester
The Humble petic[i]on of Katterin Wright of Boulton widdow
Humbly sheweth.
yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner beinge a widdow left with seaven smale Children her husband beinge slayne at Boulton in the seruice of the Commonwealth: shee beinge left destitut and no on to Comisserate her sad Condic[i]on: shee beinge threatned by one William Seddon her nighebor to Indit her this sessions of peace now to bee holden: because yo[u]r petic[i]oner will not deliuer her husband Cottage into his hands: where as yo[u]r petic[i]oner will make it playne to appeare before yo[u]r worships that shee never made bargain nor Covenant with the said Seddon in all her liffe: nor no one for her:
This same Seddon beinge a very troublesome man doth threaten yo[u]r petic[i]oner to throw her out of doores with her litell Children vpon noe Just ground or cause to the vtter vndoeinge of yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner and her smale children
May it please yo[u]r worships to take the premesses into yo[u]r serious Considerac[i]ons that yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner may liue quietly at home: and not to bee disturbed nor troubled by this said Willi[a]m Seddon any longer: And yt yo[u]r petic[i]oner will show vnto yo[u]r worships that shee hath assignement made to her from her husband duringe her liffe for this same house where shee now dwelleth: soe desireinge yo[u]r worships to take the premesses into Considerac[i]on and shee will dayley pray for yo[u]r worships health and happines longe to Continue
