To ye Right Hono[ura]ble ye Com[mi]ttee for ye Army.

The humble peticon of Joyce Hardinge the Relict of Tho[mas] Harding & Administratrix

Sheweth

That yo[u]r pet[itione]rs husband hath faithfully serued the Parl[iamen]t from the beg[inn]ing: in ye Army of his Ex[cellen]cie the Lord Fairfax in Capt[ain] Grymes his Company as priuate soldier in Colonell Ingoldesbyes Regim[en]t of foote & was slayne in the service of the state att ye Seige before Colchester as by Certificate vnder the hand of ye said Capt[ain] Grymes appeareth

Yo[u]r pet[itione]r being left in a sad condition thorough his death, & haueing litle to mayntey[ne] her & hers, but the arreares yt are due to her husband for his seruice, Shee most humbly prayeth yo[u]r Hono[ur]s to giue order for the stateing her said husbands accompts & the payment of what shal be due therevpon

And shee shall pray &c.

State & pay

21o Febr[uary] 1648

A Certifficate is already drawne vp for the musters of Tho[mas] Hardinge with the rest of Capt[ain] grymes Company of Col[one]l Ingolsdbies Reg[i]m[en]t and that Certifficate is in the Treasurers handes
