The humble peti[tion] of Joseph Penter, Randle Maddocke Tho[mas] Barrow Will[iam] Bostocke John Grust Willi[am] Barneshall, Raphe Foxley

<Sheweth> Vnto yo[u]r ho[nours] that whereas yo[u]r poore peti[tioners] beinge souldars vnder Captayne Thomas Walley & vnder the Com[m]and of Col[one]l Croxton weere taken foorth of our seuerall families, where yo[u]r peti[tioners] beinge veary poore men, and most of vs haueinge great Charge of Children, and nothinge where w[i]th all to releiue them, and beinge that wee yo[u]r poore peti[tioners] weere soe longe forth, our poore wiues [illegible] not haueinge w[i]th all to releeue them selues and Children, did & were forst to take vp such things as weere nessessary for them haue brought yo[u]r peti[tioners] into a great deale of debt, beinge that the pay w[hi]ch wee haue rec[eived] will not satisfie the same,

May it therefore plaise yo[u]r ho[nours] to take it into Considerac[i]on and grant vs yo[u]r poore peti[tioners] some releiffe and as wee are bound will ever pray &c
