To the Right Wor[shipfu]ll & Hon[oura]ble his Ma[jes]ties Justices of the Peace for the County aforsaid at this Generall Sessions of the Peace to be holden for the said County. the 5th day of Aprill Anno R[eg]ni Jacobi S[e]c[un]d[i] nunc Anglie &c. Tertio Annoq[ue] d[omi]ni 1687

The humble Petic[i]on of John Zeldon of Okehampton in the said County Blacksmith

<Humbly Sheweth.>

That yo[u]r Petitioner being a Souldier in his late Ma[jes]ties Service King Charles the first of blessed memory and being in that Service a quarter master vnder Capt[ain] Page in the Regiment of S[i]r John Barkley and haveing received Severall dangerous wounds suffered longe imprisonm[en]t for his Loyalty and being now neare Seventy yeares of Age and vnable to gett his liveing and haveing never deserted the said Service

May it please yo[u]r Hon[ou]rs the premises considered to Order such Pension to the releife of yo[u]r Petion[e]r as to yo[u]r Hon[ou]rs shall seeme fitt and yo[u]r Petion[e]r shall ever pray &c.

Wee beleeve the contents of this Petic[i]on to be true.
