The petition of John Warwick of Flore, Northamptonshire, January 1675

To the right Wor[shi]p[fu]ll his Ma[jes]tie Justices of the peace for the County of North[amp]ton[shire]
Humbly sheweth
Whereas John Warwick of Floure in the County aforesaid Laborer was for severall yeares in the service of his late Ma[jes]tie king Charles the first (of ever blessed memory; vnder the Comaund of Collonell Morgan till his death) and then Coll[onel] Leviston: And received several wounds therein; And is now antient: and hath foure small children: And nothing but his owne hand labo[u]r to mainteyne them Soe that they are fallen into extreame poverty Therefore humbly begg of yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps to graunt vnto him an order to receive such penc[i]on as shal be thought fitt for yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner And he shall ever pray for yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps.
Wee whose names are herevnto subscribed doe beleive the petic[i]on[e]rs case to be as above: sett forth:
